Make an after-walk journal
Write one detail about the route and one about the pace or stops. Compare similar walks without treating distance as a target to beat. A useful journal helps you notice preferences and changing conditions.
Keep the finished note with its date and source material. Return to it when you repeat the exercise, and add what changed rather than replacing the earlier observation.
